Thoughts on halftime show. It was a good artistic performance that was a nice change of pace from the generic, soulless pop performances of most years. SZA was too soft and didn’t add any dimension. I still think it was the right choice to go with Kendrick as he was the most buzzy artist this year after his beef with Drake, but would’ve been a more engaging if the special guest was an artist like Red Hot Chili Peppers (like Bruno Mars did back in the day).
