Ya such a loaded question. I think those people would say it’s complicated. It’s a mixture of things? Past trauma? Desire to be wanted? I’m sure each individual has many reasons although not excuses — and at the end of the day it’s selfish and not loving. Wanting both things. The security of the relationship and the thrill of jeopardizing it.
