The nature of the Balkans is raw and powerful. Sunlit rocky coastlines inspire either blending architecture with nature or making nature part of the architecture itself. When I first visited the Balkans, I created a similar project for the metaverse—stone floors, cliffs, and an endless horizon above the sea instead of walls. Seeing this hotel, I felt a connection with its architectural approach—embracing and harnessing nature’s ability to heal, calm, and restore. ACRO Wellness Suites. Ag. Pelagia, Crete, Greece

I’ve never read this book, but it must be a profound work if it leaves people pondering its mysteries for 15 years

Hi Zuke! So cool you found each other! 15 years ago, I invited a street cat to come home with me - we’ve been happily living together ever since. The most magnificent creature I’ve ever seen in my life 🩶

Yes, I was. Then I shifted to metaverse architecture, and now I’m searching for real-world spaces that could rival the most stunning virtual environments

Yes, the film is brilliant - both the setting and plot are top-notch. And a Sci-Fi English class sounds incredibly intriguing! I’d totally sign up for that too 🤩

It’s painfully true that we build walls instead of bridges. Lately, I’ve noticed how globalization’s momentum stalled in the 20th century—now nations drift apart, hyper-focused on internal struggles over shared humanity. Like all things, this trend will likely reverse eventually. I just wish we’d realize sooner that what unites us far outweighs what divides us

Thank you! That’s so nice to hear ☺️ The reddish square tiles were supposed to be aligned, like glass blocks. That would’ve been perfect!

ITAP of my project Not exactly the usual entry for my wow-map, where I try to include truly breathtaking places. But as the curator, I think I’m allowed to bend the rules sometimes and add my own projects. This is a waterfront area in a district developed in the 20th century, where the original urban layout and much of the historic architecture have been preserved. I chose to use modernist techniques and materials to gently reinterpret the historical context - keeping the spirit of the place while giving it a sense of freshness and relevance. I visited it for the first time after it was completed. And honestly - this is my masterpiece 😄 📍 Kirovogradskaya Street, 26, Perm google map location is in comments

How did the movie Blade Runner begin? Syd Mead’s concept art

😍 Oh, that vibe! Sounds like Syd Mead - he did concept art for Blade Runner and a huge number of other films. He had a massive influence on how generations imagined the future. His artwork is a standalone kind of art. Trained as an industrial designer, he designed his worlds - cities, spacecraft, environments - rather than just illustrating them.

Reflections at the intersection of different fields are often the most interesting and unexpected. Philosophy, like psychology and neuroscience, can probably be applied to almost any area that's connected to human experience in one way or another.

In a way, I envy people who haven’t yet seen such masterpieces. those who still have that awe waiting for them.
