Zhangjiajie ๐คฏ ๐
Tucked away in the mountains of China, Zhangjiajie feels absolutely otherworldly - no surprise James Cameron chose it as the visual muse for Pandora in Avatar.
Scattered across the landscape are cozy boutique hotels with insane views. The designers here get it: nature is the main character. They bring it inside with warm wood, slabs of stone in organic shapes, and floor-to-ceiling windows that blur the line between indoors and out. You could be soaking in the tub, reach out your hand, and almost feel like you're touching the tips of those endless stone pillars - their bases hidden somewhere beneath a veil of mist.
China has turned this natural treasure into a full-on natural attraction park. Thereโs a glass bridge suspended over a deep canyon, the world's longest cable car lifting you toward a narrow cliffside path, and an archway carved straight through the rock itself. It's surreal, it's massive, and it somehow still feels like a dream
