I see a lot of comments saying 💰 Farcaster account prices are “overvalued” But these prices are not inflated. It’s the current market that has disappointed us so much. If you look deeper - it all makes sense. A crypto follower is worth more than a follower in mass-market niches. This is not a random person clicking follow. It’s someone interested in technology, investments, new products, and onchain activity. That kind of audience is more valuable for brands, projects, and creators. Especially on Farcaster. It’s a closed niche ecosystem with a higher-quality and more engaged audience. User attention here is limited - and that makes it more valuable. That is why a base follower value of $1.5 looks more than justified. Ask any performance marketer working with X, Facebook, Instagram, or Google Ads: How much does it cost to acquire a follower interested in crypto? Getting such a user for under $2 is already difficult. A quality niche follower can easily cost $3–$10. So if you think the @toadyhawk.eth account valued at $800k is overpriced - maybe you are simply underestimating the value of attention. How much should an account of a real crypto opinion leader with 216k followers be worth? Or @jacek account belonging to a crypto legend, the founder of $DEGEN, with 146k followers - does $513,047 really sound crazy? As for @statuette, valued at $83,392 - in my opinion, that price is actually too low. An account with that level of influence should be worth more.
