What if the White House is playing this in two steps?
Step 1: announce taxes for foreign crypto accounts.
Step 2: announce zero taxes for crypto held inside the U.S.
Basically:
“If crypto is the future, let’s make America the home base. Bring your capital here, or pay for keeping it elsewhere.”
Just a thought. But maybe not the craziest one.
