Kiwistand is a decentralized, peer-to-peer news and discussion platform inspired by Hacker News but built entirely on blockchain principles. It uses a unique protocol that ensures message integrity, ordering, and spam resistance through cryptographic hashes, Merkle Patricia Tries, and NFT-based access control. Users must mint a one-time "Kiwipass" NFT to post or vote, preventing bots and Sybil attacks. The platform is fully open-source, community-governed, and sustains itself through NFT sales, grants, and contributor payouts.
