why @zama is needed now more than ever! Zun as a case study 0x**************************************be my intention here is to highlight the need for privacy and nothing more. i do not know if he already made this address public or is planning to, i simply traced the address from an airdrop allocation he shared, analyzed the airdrop contract, then reach consensus after identifying and crosschecking some plays he has shared in the past what is crazier is that a simple Arkham visualizer means i can find multiple wallets affiliated to him. Zun however is versed in his craft and is smart enough to seperate his identity from some of his wallets(transactions he doesn't want you to see) but what of a normie? the potential daily users? if the great onboarding is ever going to happen, we need privacy and confidentiality more than ever this is what @zama is proposing, confidential apps that offer end to end encryption leveraging FHE, a protocol that makes onchain computation private(no need for decryption), scalable, and verifiable. THE FATE OF SOCIALS with crypto protocols now placing priorities on social layers, anonymity is bound to get even thinner. some level of onchain privacy is needed now more than ever. people share their activities, wider locations(city, country), spots, pictures and other sensitive information on socials. since socials are invlved, people can share onchain plays, airdrop allocations etc which can easily be traced and therefore all transactions, balance and other wallet affiliations are easily public. imagine a person who has shared so many personal information being put at risk because of this? while it doesn't matter to many, i think an option should be in place for those who prefer their transactions are not public. NB: i used Zun here because he is a zama maxi and will understand🙏🏾

The @zama developers program is coming to an end, while we await the apps, let us take a deep look at the apps that won the awards and were highlighted from september. Last month saw over 650 submissions with 309 being valid, only 5 of those were picked as winners. A thread: 1. Belief protocol by Chris wilder: Belief protocol is decentralized platform for opinion markets, hot takes, and belief-based betting using Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) for privacy-preserving transactions. It works by users chosing a simple yes or no option on a market to bet on thier "beliefs" just like a prediction market. But there is a catch, some of its features leverage FHE to prevent manipulation and to preserve authenticity, vote tallies are computed without revealing individual choices, results are hidden until official market resolution. Equal betting amounts set by market creators which means winners get to split prize pool based on participation. link: https://beliefprotocol.netlify.app/
