The dominance of gambling as a whole feels like a response to a society that has removed the ability for many to reach a stable financial state. Owning a home, retirement, even kids are financially non viable to many. In those cases, the only winning move is to try and gamble for the "1 in a million chance" of success. It normalizes and incentivizes gambling. It's not an excuse for those taking advantage of people (in crypto or otherwise). It just makes me sad about the current state of things. We can do so much better as a society, yet many in leadership positions choose not to.
