Growing up in Buenos Aires, @skeletor (KB11) watched Argentina's economy spiral through repeated crises driven by ongoing, runaway inflation. It attracted him to "parallel economies" โ€“ and online multiplayer games where he ran Counter-Strike servers and tinkered with Warcraft III mods. "It's kind of funny when you have โ€˜in-game economiesโ€™ that are more stable than your country's economy,โ€ the @wonderland co-founder told Kernel. While DevConnect drew the crypto world to Buenos Aires and a teetering Argentina, Wonderland was already building more resilient infrastructure for half a decade. Champions of rigorous security and radical transparency, Wonderland has emerged as Ethereum's premier dev studio, serving as foundational partners with ecosystem heavyweights: @optimism, @ethereum, @aztecnetwork, @aerodrome) โ€“ and architects of crucial privacy tech (Privacy Pools, Kohaku). In @tynes words: "Wouldn't be surprised at all if they somehow played a part in the revolution."

What could a MicroIPO look like? To @aja and the @whetstonedotcc.base.eth team, the answer will be found by effectively pricing net new assets (not tokenizing equities). โ€œIssuance as a net primitive has become significantly cheaper.โ€ โ€œWhat issuance means is: getting โ€Šan asset from the private market to the public market and letting people trade it.โ€ โ€œHow can we issue (new) assets - that no one really thinks of as assets - and get them effectively priced and create a market such that value flows to the people that it should?โ€

@alok says โ€œ3 out of 20โ€ people in crypto are currently aware of apptokens. he thinks more will be soon. apptokens are "creator" constrained tokens, like ERC-721C & ERC-20C. driven purely by developer demand, โ€œthe majority of new NFTs across @ethereum are 721Cs.โ€ built by Limit Break and @gabrielleydon (one of the best game designers in the world), apptokens are already powering new experiences on @opensea and Ronin. the possibilities are built for gaming, and also go beyond. some include 1) royalty enforcing-tokens, 2) spend-only tokens, 3) token trading restrictions (to specific pairs, price ranges, or whitelists), 4) custom vesting, expiries, or seasonal windows, and 5) "backed tokens", with guaranteed redemption logic. these are just some examples of the constraints that you can place on apptokens (+ the programmable AMM built to service them).

The context wars are upon us. OpenAI, Anthropic, Apple, Google. Every major player is racing to collect more of your data to power their AI. It reeks of โ€œenshittification.โ€ At Kernel's salon in NYC, Plastic Labs CEO @vintro laid out a different vision: Honcho is open-source memory infrastructure where your virtual identity stays yours, while agents benefit from state of the art long-term memory. The thesis: memory should be a commodity, not a moat. Give it away for free. Instead of treating memory as storage/retrieval, their Neuromancer reasoning models predict and deduce per-user context, training on bespoke outputs with rich personal context that foundation models can't access. Honcho has 620k+ messages processed since soft launch 2 months ago. Want to help prove this works? Grab a free API key: app.honcho.dev
