ITAP of my Aunty’s Ikebana work for my late Mother. She makes an assortment every year on the anniversary of her passing. My Japanese mother had a qualification to teach Japanese Flower arrangement “Ikebana” and my French aunty took a real shining to it, so much so she pursued it in France and is an active practitioner. There is an untold level of complexity in its simplicity. I’m sure mom would have liked this arrangement, a floral ode to the memory of her. うちのフランスのおばさんが亡き母に毎年添えてくれる生花。母も資格持ちでおばさんに紹介したのが始まりで… こうやって母の思い出が形となって脈々と続いてるのは嬉しいですよね。
