We’ve tried coordination without governance before. It’s called “feudalism”. Ok but we aren’t gonna do that! You will say. But as far as I know no BTC maxi has any vision for how this supposed coordination will work. It’s hopium If Bitcoin ever becomes the global monetary layer, do you think the people who hold the most of it should have any obligation to the rest of society? Will Michael Saylor? How would Bitcoin help coordinate healthcare infrastructure—something that requires more than financial incentives? What happens to Bitcoin’s value if deflation causes people to stop spending altogether? Why do you think every society that’s tried a hard money system eventually moved away from it? Who enforces Bitcoin’s social contract if someone breaks it? Would you be okay with a world where your local school or road depends on solely the generosity from Bitcoin whales?
