I think intellectually honest people can recognize both NYT is not destroying human civilization but rather that social media takes the 1-5% of op eds and defines the entire publication and its reporting by those words and Gambling is not neutral it is like alcohol or drugs—a fun thing to do but without limits it has horrible effects. It is extractive, is not value creation. it takes resources from society without even coming close to paying its debts back. Gambling addictions lead to bankruptcies, crime, domestic abuse, suicide.
