There was this guy in France back in the 14th century named Charles of Navarre (II)
He legit was a massive self serving bitch
Literally always causing problems
They called him Charles the Bad
Anyway, he died because he got sick
But he didn’t die from the sickness
As part of the treatment for his illness the protocol was to soak cloth in brandy and sew people up in it
Like stitch them up inside alcohol soaked rags like a mummy or something
His doctors were doing that to him and had a little oops with a candle and burned him
Whole body caught fire — I mean he was soaked with alcohol — and he died of his injuries
Very karmically satisfying story. I find it beautiful
