I mixed orange juice today with espresso coffee and ice. It was lovely. I was trying to recreate this drink

Offaly almond is my new favourite Amaretto, Irish whiskey, lemon juice, cherry(??) and egg white foam We got one on the house as they were doing cocktails for their social media. Also had an awful mojito and a lemon shot (also on the house). Maybe kid#1 is gonna drive today ps: you serve me anything with Amaretto and we’re friends

I got it after walking the Nephin way(40km in two days). It used to be an old trading route, so not too steep. Nice and remote. The route is known to be wet. While it only suddenly rained once for 15 minutes the trail was a likelittle river from the start. I remember at one point wanting to give up from emotional exhaustion to unsuccessfully keeping my feet dry. Fortunate there was a shelter at 20km so I didn’t need to carry a tent. Lighter pack = happier hiker Another reason I remember this hike so much is that I decided to do it in a whim. Borrowed stuff from friends and got a couple of supplies. Only fitting that, without much thought, I got the leprechaun when I returned.

I’m trained to look at networks as pictures of information flow. A central node for me always means “is participating in information sharing by either giving (talking) or taking (hearing)”. Central nodes are either gate keepers or boundary spanners, and without knowing more about their ethics/hidden agenda, you don’t know why they are (not) sharing information

I don’t think there’s too much difference in applied left and right politics. It’s an elite/exclusive group who believes they have the answers which pushes coordination/decision making towards a centralized or hub-and-spoke system. Consensus decision making requires time. That makes it not efficient. Grow too fast and the process breaks down. Just look at the European Union. All decision making used to be consensual. When the 10 Easter European countries were added, voting moved to majority.

And that's a wrap on a long day of coding. The big one is done. The Reply app has been successfully migrated to the new Farcaster SDK. This was a major backend overhaul, but the goal was simple: reduce user pain. You should no longer need to manually refresh the app to get things working. The experience should feel much more stable and seamless now. While I was at it, I also fixed the automated refund task. It was failing on some transactions due to nonce/gas issues, but that's now resolved. All pending refunds should be complete. A quick note on what's next: I was pushing to get the new "Message History" section out tonight as well, but I've decided to hold off. It's late, and I would rather ship it bug-free on the weekend than ship it buggy right now. The plan is to release the History section this Saturday/Sunday, along with the dark mode update. My priority is always a stable app first, then new features on top. Thank you for your patience and for all the feedback that makes Reply better. gn. https://farcaster.xyz/miniapps/ZuqxLQnWC2Nh/reply

Took him on a run around the block. MIL said he needed it (maybe all those toasts with butter je gets…). It was a slow jog that turned into a walk after 4km. Dog too tired

Real milk from Irish cows. It just hits different than the watered down version you get in Spain. Especially if you smear it on a thick slice of white bread Not recommended if you’re watching your weight

Kids start holiday end of June and it goes until the 2nd week of September. My favourite replies are “no” and “suck it up buttercup”. Second one I got from a friend who has two super lovely girls already in university
