According to official data, only 16% of the U.S. Federal Reserve’s balance sheet is currently backed by gold.
Interestingly, that’s the exact same level as in 1971 the year the U.S. permanently ended the dollar’s link to gold.
And that basically means:
📛 Markets are getting dangerously close to completely losing trust in fiat currencies.
