Quick breakdown on @base.base.eth : 🧱 Base is an Ethereum Layer 2 network developed by Coinbase. ⚙️ It’s built using Optimism’s OP Stack, which means it uses Optimistic Rollups to make transactions faster and cheaper than directly on Ethereum. 💰 It’s designed to help developers build decentralized apps (dApps) easily, while still benefiting from Ethereum’s security. 🌐 It’s open source and aims to be part of a broader “Superchain” ecosystem (a network of interoperable L2s built with the same tech). 🪙 There’s no native “BASE” token — it uses ETH for gas fees. So basically, Base = Coinbase’s gateway into Web3, giving users and devs a more efficient way to interact with Ethereum-based apps. Stay based 🟦
