I got an email from Coinbase inviting me to participate in a $BTC giveaway sweepstakes that required making a trade, so I bought some $SOL, since it was down and I read some stuff about how it was undervalued. if you get $BTC from this, great trade if you don’t, still good trade esp after seeing everything in the works in Solana ecosystem i just buy and hold for the most part since i’m too busy candidly to stay super on top of day trading

Make sure you get some ETH - in your Farcaster wallet. To use it. IMO the best part of crypto isnt just hodling and making money, it’s learning why we’re building this stuff at all. Make a swap on Uniswap. Deposit collateral in Aave and withdraw some USDC as debt. Mint an NFT on Zora. Just try things out!

Would take some time to read about what makes these assets valuable $BTC and $ETH are the top 2 crypto assets by market cap and they have very different properties. Once you have a thesis on these two all other tokens are downstream of that. As a highly volatile asset class you need conviction to hold through the ups and downs and that can only come from a deep understanding of what you’re buying. Ofc if you don’t intend to be a long term holder then you can still succeed by trading but that’s a bit of a different game
