Yes, there’s a well documented advance fee scam where fraudsters falsely claim you’re a United Nations beneficiary of money (sometimes saying a UN soldier or agency wants to pay you), then demand “delivery,” processing, or clearance fees before releasing it. These emails or messages are fraudulent. The UN does not pay people or require fees for funds to be released.
