The Bitcoin (BTC) rate fell by more than $2 thousand per day. The first cryptocurrency dropped in price in 24 hours from $60.7 thousand to $58.4 thousand. By the morning of August 12, the coin fell in price by 4.4%, according to CoinGecko.
The Ethereum (ETN) rate decreased by 4% over the past day. The leading altcoin is trading at
$2.55 thousand, the day before its price reached $2.7 thousand.
The total capitalization of the crypto market decreased by almost 100 billion in 24 hours. The volume of liquidations of tradersā positions on crypto exchanges per day amounted to $155 million, most of them were long positions on BTC and EtN.
Cryptocurrencies from the top 100 by capitalization such as Optimism (OP), Mantra (OM) and Veat (BEAM), per night fell in price by more than 10%. Only the Sui coin (SUl) showed growth - it price increased by 1.5%.
