Bitfarms has announced that it will wind down its Bitcoin mining operations over the next two years, redirecting its business toward artificial intelligence (AI) and high performance computing (HPC) data centers. The company confirmed that its 18 megawatt facility in Washington will be the first to make the transition, with the shift expected to be completed by December 2026. After the overhaul, the site will function exclusively as an AI and HPC center. Following the announcement, Bitfarms’ stock fell by roughly 18%.
