4th time in Dubai. Here's why it's actually elite (ignoring the obvious downsides for now):
Convenience is insane
Every building = gym + pool + sauna. 15min delivery for literally anything. Remote work paradise. Save 10+ hours/week on commuting/errands alone.
Weather hits different
Avoid summer, wake up to sun every day. No jackets, no rain, no vitamin D deficiency.
Location is OP
5-6hrs from Europe but you're basically center of the world. Direct flights everywhere.
Actually safe
Leave your phone in a mall? It'll be there. Walk around at night with zero stress. GF takes taxis alone and I don't worry (hi London 👀)
English everywhere
Everyone's an immigrant, everyone speaks English. Taxi drivers, baristas, everyone actually helps you out.
Dubai isn't perfect (downsides coming later) but it's top tier for quality of life )if you have the bag 😬)
