Are we really taking this fragmentation meta into 2026?
Ask yourself honestly:
Do we need another L2 when blockspace outside the top 10 is mostly empty?
Do we need another perp DEX when there’s already a 10+ fighting for the same volume?
No. We keep splitting liquidity and calling it innovation.
And the launch meta is what keeps it fragmented.
It’s the same playbook every time: High FDV. Low Float. A shiny wrapper around a primitive we built 4 years ago.
Zoom out. This is what innovation looks like now:
> Strategic partnerships that are just logo swaps.
> Points programs doing the retention job the product never learned to do.
> Roadmaps that are actually exit-liquidity timelines.
> Liquidity bootstrapped by emissions, then gone the moment emissions fade.
~90% user churn the second the points program ends.
Narratives burn out in 4 weeks now because they aren't built on product. They are built on bribing you to stay until the VC unlock.
Stop buying the story.
Mechanics over narratives. Always.
