These past few days, I've been thinking about writing this: I used to think that failure meant losing my career. I was wrong. Jobs come and go, you can always bounce back from a layoff. True failure is succeeding at work while failing the person who waited for you. That door shuts forever. There is no 'second round' for a heart that’s given up. It is a heavy realization, i burned the only thing that actually mattered just to keep a fire going for something that would replace me in a week. Ironic.
