GM The World of Deception A whole year I’ve been playing a role. Pretending to be something I’m not, clowning around, joking, just to be accepted, just to be eligible. I thought with effort, with patience, with loyalty, I could earn something. But what did I get? Nothing. Not eligible. All the effort? Destroyed. All the energy? Wasted. All the hope? Wiped out just like that. Turns out I was the only one joking all along. I thought I was part of something, I thought I was appreciated, I thought there was some reciprocity... But it turns out the world never cared.
