What are 'Hot Takes'? Fundamentally, hot takes are opinions that are slightly controversial. Meaning they are outside of bubble of what is normal. If you dive deeper, you realize that it is just controversial against what *you* think is the comfortable and fits in what you know. If that's the case, a hot take, is an idea that you are afraid of slightly not fitting in with what you are comfortable previously And it is an idea that you are testing out to see if you can handle it too. And I think that's wonderful

Which is why it’s weird to announce something as a “hot take” because it’s most likely “what I already think” for a lot of other ppl

Diving deeper yet, let’s replace the Overton window with the Scoville window of takes. Instead of policy > popular > sensible > acceptable > radical > unthinkable, let’s use bland > mild > based > hot > spicy > Carolina Reaper
