I wonder often if courage may be the most important virtue.  

Aristotle: “Courage is to willingly suffer the pain of fear for the sake of the beautiful.”

The thing I like about this definition is: (1) fear never goes away (2) fear always hurts. 

But to choose it for something beautiful… that’s it.
