When people talk about how there is not enough nature in a city — I think about the artificial distinction between nature and cities. Part of me wants to say - but we are nature too, cities are nature too, all while still being aware that I’m most likely missing the original point

nature is technology, technology is nature the trick is building differently, we should show how nature works, make it visual, tangible literally for a example by making a city oasis that cleans wastewater. found this one on a quick search. https://www.oceansewagealliance.org/newsroom/ecoparque-tijuana-sewage-water-wetland-nature-based-solutions-community

The old Buddhists have a saying When you’re in nature there is no ‘I’ When you see a mountain for instance, you are reminded that nature is the ultimate When you see a skyscraper, it’s cool and all, but it’s gonna come down faster than that mountain, and it’s certainly not as beautiful

that urge applies to many conversations... i'm always tempted to be a little too literal for the sake of conversation. most of the time it's not a great way to contribute to a conversation though lol.

If you haven't read this already, you might enjoy it. There's a few pages on how lawns aren't natural that will stay with you
