That is why I never got started on coffee — I’m just too scared of becoming dependent on it to function. But I’m an exception at work, everybody seems to be guzzling it

love the self-awareness, and i'd agree. i've had both coffee and tea with near-daily consistency for about 15 years. rarely do i abstain interestingly, i don't drink caffeine because i'm tired -- i'm not tired often. i drink it because i love motion. to me, tea supports calm alertness, and coffee brings focused motion

I am not a coffee addict when i was a kid my mom once secretly saw me drinking tea with coffee mixed in it nd she scolded me a lot and said it’s not good since then i have been really scared of it nd i think i have had it maybe just five times in my whole life

Modern media environment is such that our biological systems need stimulants like caffeine (which at this point has entrenched itself as not just a substance but historical force) to feel sober in comparison to the constantly intoxicating fields of media. tldr yeah me too
