I prefer physical books. Much more nuanced experiences, from paper weight to typography choice to dimension and scale. I enjoy the careful decisions.

I love the idea - and actuality - of holding a big fat book in my hands - during the day. But at night - when my partner has turned out her light - and I need to read in the dark - and I’m cold and tired and want to only have one arm outside the covers - The Dark Forest is a hell of a lot easier to hold on a kindle ;-)

Me too. I love being able to highly and export quotes, but reading pure analogue is another level of immersion I find I read a lot of fiction on my kobo and then non fiction I get the physical book

I didn't like reading books on my phone until I got my Fold. It's so much easier on your eyes not having to go back and forth so much (since each line is so short on a standard phone screen.) I vastly prefer reading on my phone vs paper book now.

Same here! I’ve gone back to physical books fully. Feels like picking up an acoustic guitar after years of playing electric. Something raw and tactile about it
