I was unlucky enough to be in Lisbon on Monday. Always fun when your demand floor vanishes. The power outage was not all that terrible. The fact that Vodafone's network went down immediately, preventing any kind of coordination with the rest of the family, was.

Well as a humanist myself it just makes no sense to me. 400+ deaths in Gaza, of which I'm sure 50%-75%+ are innocent, in order to try and secure 59 hostages, of which half at best are still alive. All this after killing 10s of thousands of women and children already. I'm Jewish myself and have visited Israel 3 times, so I should be biased towards the Israeli POV too.
