@jrf
i’ve been vibecoding for about 3 years now, basically since chatgpt dropped in nov 2022
it was magic at first
ideas → code → dopamine
no plans, no specs, just shipping
but after building the @marqui prototype
and then fully breaking it
i’m about ready to retire as a vibecoder
why?
time is our most valuable asset
experience compounds
but experimentation doesn’t, at least not indefinitely
vibecoding is great for exploration
it’s terrible for leverage
at some point:
intuition needs structure
speed needs direction
experiments need memory
otherwise you’re just paying the same tuition over and over again
the next phase isn’t less creativity
it’s creativity with intent
systems that remember
decisions that compound
vibes got me here
but they won’t get me where i’m going
a cracked team will, so i'm building one
