What’s Web3?

Web3 is basically the next version of the internet... one where you own stuff instead of just using it. Your identity, your data, your digital things... They’re tied to your wallet, not locked inside some company’s server.

In Web2, you log in with email. In Web3, you log in with your wallet (As you do with Farcaster).

In Web2, platforms own your content. In Web3, you do (obviously Farcaster🙄).

It’s powered by blockchain tech (like Ethereum), but it’s not all crypto coins and hype. The real point is freedom and portability... like being able to move your profile, money, or items between apps without asking permission.

Farcaster? It’s Web3 social... where the app doesn’t own your identity.

Just like how Web3 flips the internet from platforms to people.

Web2 is the internet most of us use every day... apps like Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook. You create content, but the platform owns it. You get a profile, but they can delete it. You log in with email or Google, and your data lives on their servers.

It made the internet more social and interactive... but also more centralized. A few big companies ended up owning most of what we see, post, and share.

Web2 = You use the product.
Web3 = You are part of the product.

Note... I'm not trying to technical, I'm making it so that everybody can understand
