This argument is everywhere and makes no sense. The violent displacement thing applies to almost every country. By this logic, every parcel of land on the planet should be owned by who made it there first, which in this case would still be Israel. The reality is humans have primitive warmongering tendencies, to the victor go the spoils blah blah, Britain took the land and gave it to Israel and Israel battled and expanded it. There’s no angle where your logic checks out

Geopolitics is such an exhausting news narrative.. No one *actually* knows what’s going on, there’s so much nuance and conflicting truths.. So what’s the point in being knowledgeable about it? I can find footing in some of the root issues, but not enough to feel confident about a broad stance Economic policy is better bc it’s concrete — Austrian economists are right about everything gg no re🤝

I hate the term “fertility rate.” Lazy, imprecise, malicious. It doesn’t measure fertility rate, it measures birth rate. “Fertility rate” gaslights society into believing we are to blame, not the grossly incompetent & overreaching government that created this economic climate and perpetuated cultural shifts. “Fertility rate” says “Welp, must be an inevitable trend of our modern, smartphone radiation-based and sugar-craved society! 🤷 The government totally isn’t lining their pockets with half your income and inflating away the other half, making it impossible to buy a home! Get in the gym and fix that cardiovascular health!”

This is super cool, but the boost for having assets on coinbase is def sending some mixed signals. Native USDC yield and direct deposit moved to base, rendering coinbase debit kinda useless, and the new credit card wants to you store assets on Coinbase, not Base? Meanwhile all we really need is onchain cb debit card + PayPal pay by check feature and Base fullstack finance is viable I’m sure cb has a grand plan and will smooth out the wrinkles, but for now I’m confused about the direction

Seems relatively straightforward to have little kiosks to imprint small amounts of USDC to disposable QR code private keys. The big issue ig is preventing double spend on the fiat side. you could throw down an already claimed USDC slip on a table but restaurant can’t tell until they try to claim.

Yeah overall I think it’s way more the latter. The propaganda is mostly due to coincidentally fitting in w the broader narrative. There’s def some odd scenes like the argument with the teacher and the idea society has things all wrong but government is 3 steps ahead with a secret underground solution. But Nolan just does his thing, idt he’d compromise his vision just to be like everyone else
