Non-verbal forms of therapy are some of my favorites.
Sometimes, speech is limited-our brain or body can only handle so much when it comes to processing traumatic experiences.

With known traumatic memories, the brain often attaches specific feelings or reactions that it has learned to associate with those events.
But… what if that’s not the full story?

Non-verbal expression offers a different lens-a way to explore and rediscover parts of your life from a new angle.
It allows you to express what words can’t reach.

One of my drawings is called “The Path.”

“Inner peace in the darkness”

It was my first time drawing a human with pastel chalk - I had never done it before, and I’m pretty happy with the result.

What surprised me the most was how the aura changed the whole picture. The aura is basically how others perceive you. Sometimes your expectations don’t match how the outside world sees you -for better or for worse.

I really enjoy yoga and drawing yoga poses, so maybe that will be my next challenge in the coming weeks. Mastering the human body in an aesthetic way is, as some people say, the ultimate level of skill.

Thank you, Eliot. I’m experimenting with this type of art - when I was younger, I painted a lot of graffiti, so this is very different.
