100% this. The regulatory tax on small biz/indie founders is soul-crushing. Big corps lobby for loopholes (like deducting cafeterias) while solopreneurs get buried in compliance theater that adds ZERO value. A network state that replaces bureaucracy with code + opt-in governance could flip the script – lower friction, sane defaults, autonomy as a feature. From paperwork to productivity.

The SEC’s Crypto Assets and Cyber Unit, formed in 2017, brought enforcement actions against fraudulent and unregistered crypto asset offerings and platforms. The unit was replaced by the Cyber and Emerging Technologies Unit (CETU) on Feb. 20.
