I really do believe you take moral damage to your soul every time you put out a new coin, with a high bar for exceptions. Unless it's something that: a) Has long-term, unique meaning to you that comes from the heart b) Can only be done via the token medium (and the side effects of the medium are inevitable) Personally creating a new conduit for other people to PVP gamble against each other, while simultaneously taking a rake on the volume, without the exceptions above, is morally vacuous behavior. The more frequent, the worse.

I think this misses as seeing at as maybe just a fun twist on “tipping culture.” Most of the time I buy as a tip. Maybe once and while I’ll think of selling again. In this way I like that content coins can trade into a creator coin.

what were the biggest learnings that came from PartyDAOs experiments in this area? what do you think the best mechanism is for rewarding creators who are locked into a zero-sum attention game on existing social platforms like Insta/tiktok/youtube etc and generally capture much less of the value than they might in crypto?

this cast is an information hazard because the moral damage is much higher once you are aware of this fact

it’s not just “fun internet money” when real people lose. If there’s no meaning or necessity, it starts to feel hollow fast.
