We prefer a crowded plan because it lets us postpone grief, and pretend that all futures remain available. But you don’t own the territory you nominally claim. You only own what you can reinforce under pressure. Everything else is bluster.
Choose the ground you can hold. Strip away the rest before the world strips it for you.
