It is astonishing how badly crypto has missed the moment and the zeitgeist over the past year. No cultural impact beyond Trump’s pump and dump schemes. The closest we came to anything like momentum was being a payment provider for prediction markets. Crypto’s entire contribution to AI was a bunch of meme coins named after other folks’ products.
