Finished the excellent book The Infinity Machine by Sebastian Mallaby and I highly recommend. A couple things that stuck with me, the human experience is around 14 trillion bits of information and language is the compressed human experience. And DeepMind lost the LLM lead because it optimized for elegant intelligence while OpenAI optimized for industrial-scale brute force.
