We can not currently quantify the damage that took place yesterday. Right now, we have numbers, we have aftermath reports and tragically some souls that have decided that life is not worth living anymore. $19 billion gone... The single biggest liquidation event in Crypto History with estimates of 1.6 million traders completely wiped out. People who have families, dreams, goals, aspirations and a hope for the future. All gone ... I know people personally who have nothing left. They have been zeroed out.... Many of us are suffering and hurting from the critical failures that led to this catastrophe. I've been there. I have been zeroed out five times in the 5 years I have been full-time in this industry. Whether it be by team members, scammers, black swans or my own ignorance. But through it all, we pick up the pieces and move forward. Becasue there is always a hope for the future. We learn from these times and get stronger, less greedy and more aligned with the values that can hold us up in any circumstances. My heart, my prayers and my thoughts are with everyone today that is digesting the full breadth of this bitter event that will go down in history. Especially those that were affected the most 🙏 What's next? First, we get to understand as much as we can about how we can prevent this kind of tragedy from happening again. Yes, there is only so much we can do. This also includes more importantly reaching out to all of our close partners, friends and associates to check in with them. We were all impacted at different degrees. You never know what someone is going through and if they feel like no one else cares. Show you care... At the end of the day, why are we here anyway? It's all about being there for one another. Second, after we have sufficient information on the who, what, where and how? Now it's our responsibility to do something about it. How can you help, how can your community help, your project, etc? All of us have a duty to make the onchain industry better. Third, put these plans into action with collaboration. We're stronger together. Several others will have similar feelings, discoveries, visions, or vectors. Work together. PVE is far superior to PVP. Tbh at first I thought of putting these thoughts into ChatGPT to see if it could polish this further. But I'm leaving it raw and from my soul to yours. May we be the change we seek, may we be Go Givers and may we move with charity. Today marks a new chapter, let us write it with even more depth of integrity than before 🙏
