Neutral implies no extreme positioning. It often precedes expansion: either a breakout as sidelined capital commits, or a fade if macro disappoints. For traders, neutral favors range strategies and selective breakout plays; for allocators, it’s a low-emotion time to average in. Watch divergence: if price rises while the index stalls, a cautious advance (less euphoria) can be healthier.
