Reminder: Farcaster got a $150 million series A, valuing it at $1 billion less than two years ago. Merkel told us they didn’t need all that money. Like many other users, I was hoping for an AirDrop that never came. Paradigm and a 16 Z and others were also hoping for an exit that never came. Would love to know how much of that $150 million was left when Neynar closed the deal. And I wonder what conditions the investors placed on it. My guess? Neynar takes the keys, takes over the existing war chest, and runs it as Merkle did, subject to the same conditions. Dan and V take what, $10 million each to walk away? What’s your guess?
