Great artists steal, but you still gotta be an artist, not just a thief.

From @vgr: “Storage is cheap and growing cheaper; compute is abundant. What remains expensive—financially, temporally, and energetically—is getting the right data to the right place in time. The shape of intelligence is ultimately constrained by this invisible economy: not the price of knowing, but the cost of remembering.”

I wouldn’t be surprised if more tech companies lean into brick & mortar third spaces as a distribution strategy because it actually becomes cheaper than trying to compete with AI slop and sensationalism for attention online

What does it look like to increase your surface area for luck in an age where everyone is producing content on socials, sending mass cold emails, spamming DMs, etc.? Feels like the most magical part of the internet – serendipitous connection – is dying.

"the @betrmint neon flywheel rewards players for supporting onchain creators" last week, I had an amazing video chat with @sonyasupposedly about what @netnose and I are building with $BETR and BETRMINT, and today she dropped this article based on that talk and her ensuing research, both on the official @splits blog and onchain on @paragraph. when I say that this is one of the most thorough and well-written articles I've EVER seen in this space, it's not just biased flattery. Sonya has an incredible ability to cut through the noise and amplify the signal, explaining culture, tokenomics, and game mechanics all in a way that anyone could understand on first pass. i feel very grateful that she took the time to research and write this piece about our mini app and community, and I will definitely be pointing people to it for months to come as the best place to get started on learning about our little neon universe. oh and btw, this Article Coin (Paragraph turns all content into coins now also) will be featured in our upcoming BETRMINT round in 2.5H, so be sure to come through and collect to support, spin & win! https://paragraph.com/@weekinfarcaster/betrmint-flywheel-onchain-creators

My goal is to push the culture of tech toward one of intention, craft, and amplifying agency. I think that there will be exponentially more people building things, and that if we actually want the world to improve we need to be pushing folks toward using frontier tech in a way that is Good. Good is subjective, but simply nudging people to consider what Good means to them goes a long way.

Buy something real, from someone real. Artisanal crafts with proof of work. Knife artisan since the age of 7, Misael handcrafts machetes and chef’s knives with flawless edges and ergonomic handles, using reclaimed Puerto Rican woods. His work pays tribute to the island’s rural legacy by transforming everyday tools into lasting pieces of cultural art. Auction must hit $500 (market value of $750 but ill personally cover the rest and shipping) Misael Fernández Rodríguez Naranjito, Puerto Rico

I find myself in this weird situation where many of the people who like my theses around building, intentionality, and tech are socialists and don't realize that I am, in fact, not a socialist

I'm still a big believer in this idea that more "AI workflow/agent" companies should look less like a SaaS startup and more like consulting + media. Forward-deployed engineers that deeply understand the organization, media to find the believers, tech to deliver in promises.

“Native’s goal is to push to culture of tech toward one of agency, intention, and craft” gets people way more excited than “Native is a narrative strategy studio.” Even before people know what I do, they know what I care about and what I want to do, and that’s the difference.

It’s significantly easier to build and garner support when you believe in something bigger than yourself. Age old advice that becomes truer by the day.

TBA killed Twitter 🟦 If I post 20x on Twitter I get nothing. Maybe $20 at the end of the month… And this is with 8000 followers. But I just posted 20x on TBA (with 160 followers). And made £8.90, more than most people in the world earn in an hour. RIP Twitter 🕊️
