We need to separate “belief” from “knowledge.”
Belief is what we hold when we don’t actually know. It’s an assumption. A leap. A hope.
Knowledge is when something becomes undeniably clear to you.
Most of what we call our beliefs about God are actually blind faith in other people’s experiences. Jesus said the Holy Spirit “will teach you all things” and “will guide you into all truth.”
Only through direct experience and personal revelation can we move from belief into true knowledge of God.
Because only when it comes from within you and through your own direct experience can you truly trust it. You can only truly know it. You can trust it because it didn’t come from anybody outside of you. It came from within you.
And within us is our connection — that is how we are connected to God — through the silver thread.
