Trust Wallet, a product closely associated with Binance, was once the go to wallet for many. Today, it reminds users that the word Trust can be misleading.
No phishing links clicked.
No shady signatures.
No seed phrase leaked.
Just a legitimate update.
Blockchain did not fail.
Users did not fail.
Software did.
Web3 says, dont trust, verify.
Yet even a wallet called Trust needs to be verified update by update.
Lesson learned.
Decentralized does not mean risk free.
And being backed by a big name does not mean bulletproof security.
