The impact of oracle data update frequency on perpetual contract funding rate calculation biases is analyzed. Simulations with 1-second to 10-minute update intervals show 5-minute updates create 23% higher funding rate errors during volatility spikes compared to 1-second updates. However, sub-10-second updates increase gas costs by 84%. The study proposes adaptive update mechanisms adjusting frequency based on market volatility indices.
