I support the right to protest. That’s core to the First Amendment.
But strategy matters. Blocking exits and creating standoffs may feel disruptive, but it often shifts public sympathy away from your cause and toward “law and order” narratives.
If the goal is policy change, you need broad support. Escalation-heavy tactics can harden opposition and drown out the constitutional argument you’re trying to make.
History shows movements win when they combine moral clarity with strategic discipline. Not every confrontation advances the mission.
