When people talk about civilian deaths in the Iran war, they often focus on the Minab strike — the U.S. Tomahawk that hit a naval site beside a school and killed 175 people, many of them children. [theguardian.com] But it’s important to remember the scale of what Iran has done to its own civilians. During the 2025–26 protests, Iranian security forces killed thousands to tens of thousands of unarmed citizens. Credible investigations estimate 7,000–36,500+ deaths, with internal hospital data showing ≈30,000 killed in just 48 hours.
