i made this series because i got tired of feeling like i had to downplay who i am just to be taken seriously. every time i show up to a crypto event or speak in a space that’s mostly men, people assume i don’t know what i’m talking about. or they think i’m someone’s girlfriend. like i can’t possibly belong here unless i’m toned down or neutral. jessyfries academy is where i get to explore that. it’s part educational, part performance art. i talk about things like how femininity is treated in male-dominated spaces, how "femininity" and intelligence are always being put against each other, and how being girly can actually be a form of rebellion. would love to get ur real life experiences feedbacks pls welcome to the academy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZ0MFijFrck
